TALIA ISRAELI
Bio

Israeli is a painter born in Jerusalem 1976, currently works in Tel Aviv and in Herzeliya.
Israeli graduated the B.F.A. program at The Bezalel Academy of Art & Design, Jerusalem in 2002 ( with Hons ). During that time she also studied at The Glasgow School of Art.
By the year 2005, Israeli completed the M.F.A program at Goldsmiths, London.
She has been exhibiting in London at the years of her studies 2003-2005 at FA Projects, curated by Carl Kostyal, Robert Sandelson Gallery, Curated by Andrew Renton and more.
In 2006 moved back to Israel and have been exhibiting since then in Israel and abroad.

Since 2006 Israeli teaches painting at the Bezalel department of Fine Arts and she is currently the academic coordinator of the Orthodox extension, Fine Arts department at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem. At 2009 she was the head of the fine arts department at Minshar School of Art 2009-11. She also teached at Basis Art School, Shankar Collage for Engineering and Design and Lewinsky Collage, Tel- Aviv.
Israeli also curated painting exhibitions, among them: Search Engines at the Dollinger Gallery, Tel-Aviv, Planty at the Minshar for Art Gallery, Tel-Aviv, Under the Rug at The Artists House Tel-Aviv and World to hand at Hanina Gallery and many more.

Israeli has received various awards and stipends, including: The Rabinovich Foundation;The Mifal HaPayis support; The Asylum Arts, New York; Erasmus; The Taylor Foundation, Paris; The Bezalel's Achievement award; The Artists Residence Herzliya; Lauren & Mitchell Presser studio stipend; The Sharet Award for young artists by the America -Israel Cultural Foundation; M.F.A fund from the AIA London; Art Cube Artists' Studios Jerusalem and was shortlisted to the Celeste Art Prize.
Israeli's paintings can be found in many private collections worldwide and in Public collections.
